At Watermill School we have been celebrating Harvest time!
Children have had a non-school uniform day and in exchange were asked to bring in an item of food for our Harvest Festival. However, our school family have outdone themselves! We have been inundated with food donations all of which will be collected by the Foodbank to be distributed to families in our local community. In these difficult times it is truly heart-warming to see these levels of generosity.
So children could see the donations we created a Harvest Grotto and displayed all the donations and children’s artwork and poetry. Thank you to Mrs Frearson and her beautiful Harvest bread plaque- can you spot the mouse?
Classes have also spent time creating Scarecrows too. Mr Johnstone joined in with the fun and got to judge the Scarecrow competition- the entries were so good we ended up with four winners. All the children in winning classes got a cupcake to enjoy on their last day of half term.
