Sally is the former Vicar at St Mark’s Church, Shelton in the Hanley Team Ministry. She was previously a Registered nurse for learning disabilities, and worked in this field before her ordination in 2009. She also has extensive experience in fostering and adoption and sat as a lay member of Staffordshire’s fostering panel between 2004 and 2007. Sally was also the Safeguarding Advisor for Vulnerable Adults in the Lichfield Diocese between 2012 and 2017 and part of this role was to help to deliver safeguarding training. Sally is also the Managing Director of Sanctus, a social enterprise supporting asylum seekers and refugees in Stoke-on-Trent. She initiated this project in 2013. She served as a school governor at Pirehill School in Stone between 2010 and 2012, and also on the Shelton and Etruria Federation from 2015 to 2020.
