Watermill School is a school for pupils aged 4 – 16 with cognition and learning difficulties. 

We are seeking to appoint a Special School Support Assistant with a keen interest in supporting children with special educational needs to join our supportive and hardworking team. 

The role will be to provide teaching and learning support under the direction of the class teacher.  For this post we require someone who is motivated, hardworking and flexible with a qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2.

The role is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2022, with the possibility of an extension, for 32.5 hours a week over 5 days commencing as soon as possible. 

Please note that it is a requirement of the post to work across all age groups from 4 years to 16 years and to provide personal and medical care for the pupils, for which training will be given.
